Dublin Day 4: Light House Cinema

Sometimes, serendipity happens.

As it turns out the apartment from where I’m renting a room during my entire stay here is located next door to the movie theater. But not just any movie theater.

Light House Cinema is part of a large European network of theaters. It also shows a lot of American movies. Which here, of course, they’re international.

And speaking of international, February 13 thru the 23rd is the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, and Light House is one of the screens featuring the global features.

But wait, there’s more. In addition all that goodness, Light House also features a wonderful cafe, where people can enjoy soup served in real dishes, as well sandwiches, gourmet desserts and one of the best hot chocolates I have every tried.

As though all this wasn’t enough, on February 15, it’s screening Desperately Seeking Susan.

What a perfect and serendipitous date it will be.
