Today I revisted the Guinness Storehouse, also known as the Guinness Factory. The last time I was here was in 2007, when my Sis and traveled the country. Even back then the time here was outstanding – the history, the architecture, the view from that Gravity Bar! And so I knew I wanted to check it out again.

I walked there from where I’m staying – which is located right by Jameson – and after paying for the self-led tour, took it all in.

Like everything else is life, everything changes. Now there’s interactive displays, everywhere, with people dressed in period costumes talking you through the fascinating facts of the brewery and the man who built it. Giant screens flow throughout the different floors of the Chicago-style loft building attracting (or distracting) all the tourists.

For me, the cool parts had far less to do with that and far more with all the undigitized visual stimulants, including the waterfall, the modern design and, of course, that spectacular bar.

Instead of trying to describe any of it, I’ll let the videos speak for themselves.
